Best Restaurants In Ubud

Quick Summary: Ubud is packed with amazing places to eat. Whether you’re craving local warungs, vegan delights, or fine dining. Here are 10 of our favorite restaurants you shouldn’t miss!

1. Wild Vegan Fully plant-based, organic, and focused on medicinal food. The vegan burger is one of the best I’ve had anywhere, and the jackfruit rendang is rich and full of flavor. They also serve herbal elixirs and sugar-free desserts that actually taste amazing. And honestly — if you’re feeling unwell, just go there. They really know herbal medicine and can help you feel better with food.

2. Melali Ubud A bit outside the center, but it's a clean, peaceful café surrounded by rice fields. Great for brunch — I usually get the shakshuka or a smoothie bowl. That said, if you have food allergies, I wouldn’t recommend it — in my experience, the staff isn’t trained to handle allergy-specific requests properly.

3. Hujan Locale Elevated Indonesian cuisine with a modern twist. Perfect for dinner. The crispy duck and charred eggplant with tamarind are both excellent. Beautiful space, great for a nice night out.

4. Warung Pondok Madu Local favorite with a casual vibe. The BBQ pork ribs and nasi goreng are must-tries. Great prices, big portions, and friendly staff — a solid go-to.

5. Nostimo Greek Grill One of my favorite places for Mediterranean food in Ubud. The grill platter is my go-to — everything is seasoned perfectly, fresh off the fire. The restaurant is always super clean, and the food is consistently delicious.

6. Pica South American Kitchen A small, intimate spot with bold South American flavors. I love the beef empanadas, grilled octopus, and their pisco sour. Ideal for a cozy dinner.

7. Warung Bernadette Home-style Indonesian food with a vintage touch. Their beef rendang is what they’re known for — deeply flavorful and super comforting. Good portion sizes too.

8. La Baracca Rustic Italian with a cozy, relaxed vibe. The truffle pasta and wood-fired pizzas are fantastic. Also a nice place to enjoy a glass of wine and good company.

9. Warung Siam For Thai food, this place never disappoints. I keep going back for the pad thai and khao soi — both full of flavor and beautifully balanced. I skip the curries personally, but those two dishes are more than enough to keep me coming back.

10. Ibu Oka An Ubud institution. If you want to try babi guling (Balinese roast pig), this is the place. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re curious about local food culture, it’s worth the visit. Go early — it gets busy.

There are actually a lot of great restaurants in Ubud — these are just 10 of my current favorites. Next time, I’ll post another 10 that are also worth checking out🙏😊
